Snow's Coming

First major snow storm of the year is due to arrive tonight. It will help put me in a more Christmas Season mood. My goal for this weekend is to put up my Christmas Village and Christmas tree, maybe a little eggnog by the fire (or tequilla - thanks Lil for the idea).

We have decorated the Media Center with a pink tree with flamingo lights - how appropriate. I have come to learn the tackier the better.

A message to Michelle, "Patience is a virtue". His leg will heal and life will return to normal. Grin and bear it and say "yes dear" alot.

A quick note to Linda: There is another color other than orange!

My Friend

My heart goes out to a good friend of mine today. Her heart is breaking and I just want to give her a hug. We all know who she is so . . . . . let's keep her in our prayers.

Update on my foot:
Tendon is starting to heal. Dr. says shooting pain up my heel and leg is part of healing process. Two more weeks with this boot on, it has already been 4 weeks. The boot makes me walk differently and it is starting to bother my hip.

Thanksgiving 2006

This was the first time in many, many years that I did not have to cook! Russ and Sarah decided to host Thanksgiving Dinner this year. Since they are newlyweds and were torn between the two families of where to dine and to keep from having to eat multiple times in one day they decided to have everyone over to their new house in Plano, IL. The dinner was very nice and Russ did an awesome job on cooking a very large bird. Everybody brought a side dish to pass. It was a success.
